As many people know we are now part of the Ohio Motocross Association (OMA), which is an ohio based non-profit that is leading Ohio motocross racing into a new chapter. For additonal information on the OMA, please visit www.omxa.net . Our schedule for 2013 is now posted, we do have some different types of events on there, and some familiar things as well. We will try to get a practice in before April, but its going to be tough, it really depends on the weather. Just keep checking back. The first known scheduled weekend is April 6-7th, which will be a race weekend. It will be standard traditional 2 moto format mx race weekend. Practice on Saturday, racing on Sunday. The BC Stampede 5k mud run will make a return on Saturday May 18th, for more info on that and to sign up go to www.bcstampede.com . We will be trying out a couple unique Mx races this year. The first being BC Utopia, where we are planning to run a limited class structure; 50s, 65s, 85s, supermini’s, Open B, Open C, Pro, Vet30+, Quad, & Mini Quad. The idea is limited classes, longer moto’s, fuller gates. More info to come on this event later. Another idea that we are going to try out is King of the Cliff, which will use a limited class structure similiar to the Utopia event, but will combine transponder timing sessions and one long moto to determine who is the King of BC. To the victor go the spoils. We will be hosting the Ohio Crew Fest on June 22nd, which will be an ATV only event. Practice sessions from 10-4, a benefit auction for the Ohio Crew from 4-5ish, a UTV GP race at 6:00, an ATV GP race at 6:30, followed p with an ATV rodeo at 8:00pm under the lights. The very next day will be Mid Ohio’s Ride Day, which will be a free riding event. KTM demo Day is back on for 2013. We will be running an OMA GP race in Oct. Mud Chug is set to launch at BC on August 17th, come for the mud-stay for the chug. And finally, the Battle for Ohio finale is scheduled for labor day weekend. The North vs South event that will test who is the most prepared motocrossers in the state of Ohio and the surrounding region. This year we will be splitting the Battle into a triple crown event with the OMA. The first round is at Malvern Mx park on June 29th-30th, the second round is at Chillitown Mx on July 13-14th, and the grand finale is at BC on Aug30-Sept 1st. We will be running practice all day on Friday, then to allow plenty of time for prep, longer motos, and way more fun, we are splitting motos between Saturday and Sunday. So everyone will get a decent 2 session practice on Saturday, then moto 1. After all moto’s are finished for Saturday we will UTV racing, pit bike racing, DJ-Music, live band; the Monster-Oakley Pit Party experience will have begun. Then, we will finish our Moto’s on Sunday, and everyone has Monday to recover. I know thats alot of info, and we will be creating pages for each event so there is a source for this info later. A big season lies ahead, just remember to enjoy it.
